Within the spectacular Paracas National Reserve,
the cathedral cave (La Catedral), is home to a large colony of bats.
A family of sea otters (known in Peru as Gatos Marinos, or "Sea
Cats") lives under the cave's floor. The cave lies at the end of
a vast, curved gravelly beach whose waves are so strong that local fishermen
call it Playa Supay (or "Devil's Beach").
